Modern and digital

The NaturalLook approach to digitisation

It has been known – at the latest since the Covid 19 crisis struck – that a successful enterprise cannot avoid the constantly evolving phenomenon of digitisation. But it is not merely because of the crisis that business directors such as Frowin Pitschl of NaturalLook are assigning more and more importance to this issue. The requirements of customers, partners and employees have all changed significantly in recent years, while new digital systems are aimed at making repetitive processes more profitable, sustainable and economical. Frowin Pitschl explains: “We asked ourselves: Which processes could we simplify? How could we minimise pressure? Ultimately, this is exactly what it is all about: making processes, from producer to consumer, more efficient and cost-effective and mapping them in digital systems”.

First steps…

As a modern distribution company for aesthetically pleasing and healthy footwear, NaturalLook began introducing digital systems to meet its needs years ago, originally with the aim of reducing paper consumption: first came invoicing, then staff holidays were recorded via a dedicated portal. Much is now also actively promoted and prescribed by law, e.g. electronic invoicing, which has significantly reduced paper usage, meaning that paper files now take up less and less space.

NaturalLook had already taken the first steps towards smart working, so the company was well prepared for the corona crisis: phone calls were redirected from landlines to mobiles, with customer orders recorded by NaturalLook employees from home, permitting business as usual. For the actual dispatching, however, a number of employees had to be physically on-site, as humans cannot always be replaced digitally. Other measures were the introduction of a CRM (Customer Relationship System), to be connected to a central communication system. This tool will in future be used to handle 100% of customer contacts, regardless of whether they are received by phone, e-mail, chat, Whatsapp or via social media channels.

…and a giant leap towards digitisation!

The company has always been characterised by its forward-looking approach and strong desire to innovate. It is therefore obvious that the introduction of a CRM system would not see the end of the digitisation process at NaturalLook. “Digitisation is a continuous process that will never be completed”, Frowin Pitschl believes. Further exciting projects are, as a natural consequence, pending for the short to medium term, or have already been initiated.

Dropshipping with NaturalLook

Dropshipping is a very special 24-hour service for retailers to ensure that shopkeepers are not forced to stock certain goods – NaturalLook does this for them. In this way they can also expand their product range rather than just offering their current in-store stock – they can also access the entire NaturalLook range and place orders directly. The goods are shipped directly to the consumer within two days. Customer contact and payment processing are always via the dealer, however, so the data remains in the latter’s possession. “We offer this service so that a business owner can guarantee maximum customer satisfaction”, explains Frowin Pitschl. “It is still early days, but we already have a small number of customers who work with this system. In spring-summer 2022 we want to really get going with the B2B portal.”

A world of exchange!

Data exchanges with retail partners will also be intensified. The company will provide its partners with a wide variety of information, product images and data. NaturalLook will in turn receive sell-out data from retailers and thus learn which product was sold and when. This is an extremely important project that will drive forward the recording, processing, evaluating and forwarding of data.
